Senior Paralegal Katie Reen joined Stackpole & French law Offices in 2006 as a litigation paralegal. For over a decade, Katie has worked closely with the firm’s attorneys, clients, and experts on a variety of litigation matters including evictions, collections, construction litigation, real and personal property disputes, foreclosures, and general civil litigation. While Katie continues to support the litigation team, over the last few years her primary focus has shifted to estate planning and probate work. Katie works closely with clients in all areas of estate planning and probate including meeting with clients to help develop estate planning strategies that best match their family situation and individual needs. Katie also prepares Wills, Trusts, General Durable Powers of Attorneys, and Advance Heath Care Directives among other estate planning documents. Additionally, Katie handles Vermont probate matters, including ancillary estates for timeshares.

In addition, as the firm’s Operations Director, Katie ensures that the day-to-day operations in all of our office locations run smoothly and efficiently for our employees and for the benefit of our clients.

Katie is originally from Rehoboth, Massachusetts. She earned her Legal Executive Assistant Certificate from Katharine Gibbs School in Providence, Rhode Island where she graduated at the top of her class, and earned her Paralegal Certificate from Northeastern University. Katie has over two decades of experience in the legal field working for law firms in Providence, Boston, Burlington, and Stowe. Katie is a member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization and is the Executive Director and Secretary of the John M. Bissell Foundation, Inc. of Stowe, Vermont.
